Nirushaa Senthilnathan is currently a Project Coordinator at the Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights working for Irwin Cotler, an international human rights lawyer and former Member of Parliament.
She was previously a graduate student at McGill University in the Human Resources Management program (2017) with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (2015) also from McGill. She was awarded the Rania El-Alloud scholarship granted by McGill’s McCall MacBain Scholarships for being at the top of her graduate class.
For the past year and a half she has also been working with Equitas, an International Centre for Human Rights Education, on the second phase of a peace and reconciliation project in Sri Lanka, on their International Human Rights Training program, which brought together leaders of social change from around the world and on various fundraising & sponsorship efforts. She is a strong advocate of the transformative power of love, optimism, kindness and empathy, which have been guiding forces throughout her life.
